It's about time--Don't you think??

Well, what can I say. I am definately a slacker. It's not that I lead such an exciting life or anything. I just have been busy with work and all that has been going on. I received a new grandson in August, but everyone already knows that. I went to San Antonio to see Ryan graduate from the Air Force which was a wonderful experience. He looks wonderful and is progressing nicely in his assigned career.
Went to Reno and visited with my mom, dad, and sister. Wish I could of seen my brothers. But the visit was wonderful. Was so good to see them.

Do you love my background. Reminds me of the little monkeys in my life. Hailey, Kamdyn, Blake and Brady. The are really quite the little characters. They grow up too fast. Wow, where did the time go... I have been so busy with work and family. Life is great and I can't believe how fast it is. I do wish I had more time to "just smell the flowers."
In Feb. John, Hannah and I went to North Carolina to visit Brian, Lindsay, Hailey and Blake. The kids are so cute. Can't believe it. We went to washington d.c. and I was so amazed at how fast life was there. So much to see and yet we only had 1 day. Not enough time. I could have spent days there. Hannah enjoyed it and I do believe she didn't mind being with her mom and dad. Hailey went with us to give Brian and Lindsay some time off. We went to the ocean in N.C. and just hung out with Brian and Lindsay. Hailey is a joy to be around and is growing way too fast. She is a smart little cookie. Blake is a sweet baby and a good one.
May 19, We had a birthday party for Kamdyn. She is a perfect 1 year old. She is growing and developing quite the little attitude. She is a little comedian.

well at least i am blogging sooner than the last times. My mother, sister and her hubby came to visit over the weekend. Ohhhh, it was fun to have them. I do enjoy family around, but this especially. I feel like I got to know my mommy better and enjoyed everyones visit. They spoil me too much. I wish it could be more often. maybe!
Anyway, my little Hailey comes for a visit tonite. I am excited to see her and her progress in her development. She is so cute. Can't wait.
My other granddaughter Kamdyn is growing and developing. She is trying to crawl and sit up. She is such a cutie.

Hi

Well, it has been another 2 months sinced I posted. So much is going on, yet I think what is going on. Not Much!!
Life is nice. My family is growing and they are my life. I love them all. I never realized how much they mean to me, until they grew up. They are all going in different directions, but still keep in contact with their parents. As I get older, I wondered how my parents handled all their kids leaving and going their own ways. It is lonely when they grow up and leave. However, I do get to babysit Kamdyn quite abit. Only wish Hailey were around to be able to watch her and see her progress. Kamdyn is growing and learning all sorts of new things. She is laughing, scooting on her tummy, trying to sit and loves to zoom along in her walker. She loves the outdoors.
From what I hear, Hailey is progressing quite rapidly. She loves to play games from what I hear. Going through her naughty time. Oh well. She is coming on the 20, so I will get to spoil her and play with her as much as I want. I can't wait, then I will send her back to her mother to train her all over again. Oh such is the life when a grandparent can spoil and not have to discipline them. Kids will never learn, that their parents will give back to their kids what the kids gave to them when they were little.
Anyway, my mom and sister are coming for a visit. I am so excited to get to know them and do some things with them. This will be fun, even if we just visit and reminisce.(spelling)
Summer went by so fast, and now the weather is getting cold. Fall is coming fast. The colors are so beautiful now and I have to admit, that this is probably close to my favorite time of the year. I love the warmth of summer, but nothing can beat the colors of fall.

Well it is about time I update my post. I am so LAZY! Not really, just very busy with work.
So much is going on all at once and then the big let down. It has been really a great experience and blessing to have Lindsay, Brian and Hailey live with us this summer. I have grown so attached to Hailey, I really don't know what I will do when she leaves. Three months have brought so many changes and growth in her. We are buddies! (Even her parents have to agree)
It has been fun to watch Brian and Lindsay be parents. They are really good with Hailey and I know they will even be better with the new little one that will arrive in January or February. I can't wait. Wow my family is growing so fast.
Kamdyn is so cute. She is smiling and cooing. Her personality is shining through. I think she is a doll and I am not prejudice at all. I can't believe she is going on her third month. How time flies by. I look forward to watching her grow and go through each stage with her. She is definitely a cuddly one. Dallas and Julie are doing a wonderful job with her. They just jump right in and give her what ever she wants. Alright Kamdyn. You keep it up and you will be spoiled before you know it.
Another school year comes by and Hannah is not too happy. 2 more years and she will be done. She got her drivers license and not thinks she is soooooo independent, but parents are not letting her be too independent. We still make her check in and let us know where she is. Hopefully she is there.
Ryan and Tiffany are busy with their lives. Working and school. How fun!
Chelsea and Kyle are doing well. They love the married life. Don't see too much of them.
I am excited for my nephew Jason. He is getting married on the 8th of Aug. Do wish I could be there and celebrate, but Lindsay & Brian are leaving. I am trying to convince them to leave Hailey, but so far they won't comply. Dang it!

The family is getting BIGGER

Well, it has been awhile since I last reported. All is well here. Chelsea's and Kyle's wedding went off without a hitch. It was very nice. Now as soon as I get some pictures, I will post them.
Our next big day was when Brian, Lindsay and Hailey came to stay for the summer. Hailey is walking and into everything. (That's is okay. It is fun to see how she explores.) Our next big adventure was the arrival of Kamdyn Anne Dorton. She is definitely a beauty. Dark curly hair and such pretty coloring. She weighed in at 7lbs 9oz. 201/2 inches. A good size. Had a rough time getting here, but when it was done, she was doted on by everyone. What a wonderful feeling to know all is well.

I can't believe how fast time flies. Seems like yesterday I wrote. Not much is happening here except next week number 4 gets married. She is so excited, yet probably the one who is most nervous. I can't believe it. Julies anniversary is on the 14th, one year behind them.
Lindsay and Hailey came on the 5th and Hailey is a doll. She is developing into toddlerhood. We were eating dinner and she thought she needed some of the food, climbed onto the table and stood up on her two little legs and thought she was the queen of the house. She is. Everyone adores her. I can hardly wait until they come for the summer. By the way, I can't wait for Kamdyn. She is going to be a busy one. She kicks and punches at Julies stomach. Very active. It will be fun to see what she is like. Grandparenting is so fun.
My one advice to my kids is that when they have children, just enjoy them. Time goes by too fast to be fustrated.
My sister Kris is going through chemo right now and I would like to tell her what a trooper and what an example she is to me. She has such a good dispostion about it. I know I can't say I understand what she is going through, but I want her to know that she has my support. I love you Kris.
I want my extended family to know that I do love them and are excited to see them someday. Hopefully soon.
